I have to give a presentation on Argentine food this Thursday, so this past Saturday my mom and I made empanadas. She served her mission in Bahia Blanca, Argentina, and ate them all the time. Just in case you haven't had any fried food lately, take a look at these.
The filling for the empanadas is a mixture of ground beef, chopped hardboiled egg, green olives, onions, garlic, and spices.
Before you fill the empanadas, you put water around the edges to help the dough (masa) seal.
Then you fry them up. Super healthy.
These things are delicious. Thanks, Argentina.
