This is Halloween

First off, I just have to say that I am a total stickler about certain aspects of Halloween. Mainly that means I need to go to a corn maze, watch a few Halloween movies, and carve pumpkins every year. John and I were really good about doing that the entire time we were dating, but somehow we kind of failed at our first married Halloween. Could have been the fact that we both work full-time and John goes to school (meaning he doesn't get home until around 10 PM Monday-Thursday and either Friday or Saturday). Just a guess.

I decided we needed a little more Halloween in our lives and I’m a total nerd about it, so I packed John a special Halloween lunch (Black Lagoon Spaghetti with Swamp Monster Eyeballs, Witches’ Fingers, Eggs of Newt, and Monster Cookies). Tonight we squeezed in a visit with John’s family and movie with my family and watched my sister and brother and his girlfriend carve pumpkins. Then we came home, cuddled up on the couch, broke out my new Free People sock slippers which are basically heaven on my feet, and watched Hocus Pocus while John attempted to get a little homework done. Not our usual Halloween since we didn’t carve pumpkins, didn’t go to a corn maze, and only saw two Halloween movies, but I’m still pretty happy with how it turned out.
