let them eat cake

Our anniversary was actually on the sixth, but we were in Guatemala and then when we got home we were busy and didn’t get around to eating any of our cake until a few weeks later. John was really skeptical about this tradition but even he admitted it tasted fine.

Edit: I just assumed that everyone did this, but obviously I was wrong. Ha. The tradition is that you freeze the top layer of your wedding cake, then eat a slice of it on your first anniversary. Kind of weird but definitely fun to reminisce about the first time you tried the cake.
