The First 4th of July as a Trio
On our first 4th of July as the three of us, we attended our annual ward breakfast, where Everett waved continuously at everyone sitting near our picnic blanket, then he and I hung out and did basically nothing while John spent the rest of the day grilling some gourmet ribs. There was beef, there was pork, there were sauces with brown sugar and honey and apple cider . . . the end product was genuinely delicious and made even better by the fact that I didn't have to lift a finger to help.
(All this is my round-about way of saying that I hope my husband decides to become a full-time rib-grilling machine so I never have to make dinner again).
After we ate at my in-laws', we played a few rounds of bananagrams, then we went home to introduce Everett to the magic that is sparklers. And to end the night with a bang, we cuddled in bed and ate s'mores. How is the summer already halfway gone?
