Friday faves

Happy Friday everybody! I cleaned our room yesterday (kind of) and when John got home from work he said, “I think we were robbed.” I was confused and asked why he thought that. He said, “All our stuff disappeared.” So apparently the moral of the story is that I don’t clean/hang up our clothes often enough. #wifefail

That little tidbit has absolutely nothing to do with my next point (how’s that for a transition, every English class I’ve ever taken?) . . . I’m doing a Friday Favorites post, which I can pretty much guarantee won’t become a weekly thing. I think.

Next week I’ll hopefully have a sort-of tutorial for the outdoor sofa John and I built (fingers crossed - I need his help wading through all the technical details like measurements and quantities of wood, so it will depend on how much time he has this weekend to help me). For now, you get this lovely short-winded post! Enjoy. fridayfaves

1. I’ve seen this moisturizer by Biossance acclaimed by a handful of blogger and instagrammers, so I decided to order myself a free sample. And I have to say so far, I really like it. It doesn’t feel greasy, it doesn’t make my skin break out. I’m so tempted to buy a full-size bottle, but it’s a little pricey (or a lot pricey compared to the stuff I normally buy) and we’re saving up for a house so it’s probably not an essential investment at the moment. If anyone else orders it and tries it for longer than a week, I’d love to hear about your results!
2. These antigua cobalt capris from Albion Fit. Love them. I have a swimsuit in almost the same pattern (but with red flowers) and I’ve been dying to buy these for ages now. Again, back to that “saving money” thing. No fun at all.
3. Say Yes to Coconut Naturally Smooth Lip Balm. Unlike the previous two on the list, this one is cheap and available at Target. I’ve always liked Burt’s Bees but guys, this is good. It smells amazing and is really moisturizing. And it doesn’t hurt that I’m obsessed with anything coconut.
4. I’m debating adding a Canon EF 35mm Lens to my collection. Right now my best lens is my nifty fifty, and I wouldn’t mind having something that could capture images in tighter spaces. Anyone have one of these? Thoughts?
5. This pillowcase (by StuckonHue via Etsy) is definitely included in my plan for our new bedroom design. Love everything about it and the quality looks great. I’ll keep you updated if/when I actually order it.

What are you loving this week? I’m trying to really think about the whole wants vs. needs thing so share some awesome stuff I can practice on ;)
